Here’s how this mess all began…
Nappaland Literary Agency began informally in 1995, as a side business of Nappaland Communications Inc. That was when author and editor, Mike Nappa, realized that a few, very talented writers needed an agent in order get access to publishing opportunities. Fast-forward to today, and NLA has helped connect dozens of authors with traditional book publishing partners to bring quality work into the marketplace.
Over the years Mike Nappa has deliberately resisted using the success of Nappaland Literary to expand the author roster beyond a manageable size, preferring instead a boutique approach that limits the company to no more than 10 active authors on any agent’s client roll at any time. Currently NLA represents a number of highly-skilled authors, with several bestsellers and award-winners among them.
