This Privacy Policy applies to the Easy Barcode Maker Android app published by Nappaland Inc. on the Google Play Store. It does NOT apply to the separate Easy Barcode Maker web application; that service has its own Privacy Policy.

Easy Barcode Maker by Nappaland Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Easy Barcode Maker Android app (the “Service”).

#1. What the app does with your information

The short answer: Easy Barcode Maker does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. Everything you enter (barcode digits, retail price, nicknames) stays on your phone in the app’s private storage. Nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to send Feedback (see Section #4 below).

#2. Barcode data (ISBN / UPC / EAN, price, nickname)

The digits you type into an intake screen, any retail price you enter, and any nickname you add for your own reference are saved to the phone’s private app storage so the My Barcodes list can show them back to you. This data is never transmitted off the phone by the app. Uninstalling the app removes this data.

#3. Photos folder writes

The barcode PNG that appears on the Result screen is also written to your phone’s Photos folder so you can reuse or print the barcode image. On Android 10 and later, this write uses Android’s scoped storage and requires no permission from you. On Android 7–9, the app requests the Photos-write permission the first time you land on the Result screen; you may deny it, in which case the barcode still appears on the screen and can still be copied or emailed, just not saved to Photos automatically.

#4. Feedback emails

If you tap Send Feedback, the app opens your phone’s own email app with a pre-filled recipient for app feedback. You choose whether to actually send the email. If you send it, we receive the email address you sent from and whatever content you chose to include — because that is how email works, not because the app collected anything. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit opt-in inside the Feedback flow.

#5. Backup files

The Backup my collection to a file feature lets you save a copy of your My Barcodes collection to a file on your phone using Android’s built-in file picker. The file is stored wherever you choose (Downloads folder, a cloud sync folder you have installed, etc.). Easy Barcode Maker does not upload this file anywhere; if it later ends up in a cloud location, that is your file-picker choice, not the app’s.

#6. What the app does NOT do

The Easy Barcode Maker Android app does not:

– Create accounts or ask for a password

– Send your barcode data to any server

– Track your location, IP address, or device identifiers

– Use cookies, third-party analytics, or advertising SDKs

– Read your other files, photos, contacts, or messages

– Sync anything between devices

#7. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, this Service does not knowingly collect personal information from children either.

#8. Security

Because Easy Barcode Maker keeps your barcode data on your phone and does not transmit it, the main safeguard is your phone itself — keep your phone updated and protected with a screen lock. If your phone is lost or stolen, anyone who unlocks it and opens the app can see your My Barcodes list.

#9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If a future version of Easy Barcode Maker introduces a feature that changes what information is collected or transmitted (for example, cloud sync between devices), this Policy will be updated at the same time to disclose the new data flow. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
