Let's Get Going!

A letter from the publisher of FamilyFans.com

July 2009.

Recently I asked my family where they'd go if they could go anywhere. My wife (no surprise!) immediately said, "Disney World...or a beach." My son agreed with the Disney World pick, but also added London to the mix.

Me? I think we should all go to Chicago!

That's because I just finished reading this month's cover story, "Fun Family Getaway: Chicago!"--and I'm hooked. There's just so much fun stuff to see and do out there in the Windy City: The Lincoln Park Zoo, the Shedd Aquarium, John Hancock Center, RJ Grunts, Navy Pier, Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago Comics, and...well, you can read all about 22 great things to do in Chicago for yourself in this month's issue of FamilyFans.com!

If you're staying closer to home this summer, you'll want to try out The Playful Parent idea featured this issue -- it's sure to be a winner with your kids. "Ice Cream Inventions" is just the cool treat for a hot summer day. And don't forget the FunFaith family devotion: '50s Night! Unpack your mom's poodle skirt, crank up some Elvis and help your kids learn about the timelessness of God's love with this fun family evening.

AND, of course, we've got new items in the "Free Downloads" section of FamilyFans.com, available exclusively to FamilyFans.com subscribers
