Delirious / Furious? Records (Sparrow)
Fan Appeal: All Ages Genre: Worship Delirious? is a band just gets better and better with every album they release, and Kingdom of Comfort is no exception. Overall, this CD is a gentle reminder about how we need to stop trying to live the American dream and instead to pursue - and fulfill - the destiny God has for us: to love each other and get out there and show Him to those in need. “God Is Smiling,” is one of the high points of this very strong CD. It says that once we finally realize what God is demanding in our lives and get out there and show His love, then God will be smiling above us and through our lives. The title track “Kingdom of Comfort,” also tries to bring us to the appropriate way of seeing things. It reminds that we are often trapped in the "Kingdom of Comfort" of material things that we constantly lust after. It is a humbling reminder. “My Soul Sings,” also stands out. This one is a song that encourages us to live with lives of love, just as God before us did. The artistry in the combination of lyrics and musicianship also shows a strong yearning for His presence, which is appealing in an album like this one. The main downfall for me of this album was that at some times the lyrics were repetitive in the songs, basically saying the same things to different melodies. Also, sometimes the lyrics seemed a little bit more preachy when they could’ve been more worshipful. But in spite of that, I still felt like Kingdom of Comfort was great album. This is a good CD for the whole family, and can be enjoyed by anyone of any age group. NAPPALAND RATING: A- If members of your family like this CD, then you may also want to try… -The Mission Bell, Glo, Touch, Delirious?, Worship. This is musically fantastic, spirit driven, passion filled worship at it’s best. --TN ### |
